Scholarship Purpose

This $1,000 scholarship is dedicated to supporting Olathe District Schools seniors who aspire to carry on Mark's legacy by pursuing a degree in Fire Science. It's more than a scholarship; it's a beacon of Mark's enduring spirit, designed to ignite the same zeal for firefighting and community service in the hearts of the next generation.

Eligibility Criteria

Open exclusively to Olathe District Schools seniors, this scholarship seeks candidates who:

• Exhibit a strong academic record and a commitment to community service.

• Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a Fire Science degree.

Application Details

Applicants must submit:

• A completed application form.

• An official transcript, emailed separately to olathefireoutreach@gmail.com.

• Personal responses in the application, divided into three sections, with points awarded as follows:

  Section 1: 2 points for each answer.

  Section 2: 5 points for each answer.

  Section 3: 10 points for each answer.

• Attention to Grammar, Usage, and Spelling will yield 3 additional points.

Deadline and Submission

The journey to honor Mark's memory through your educational aspirations begins with your application, to be submitted by March 8, 2024, at midnight Central Time.
